We Sell Your Vending Machines

Overview

The vending machine is a great example of a technology that serves its purpose (and snacks) in a way that hasn’t changed much since its introduction. Sure, the payment process has evolved from the drop of a coin to a tap of a card, but the basic purpose remains intact: to purchase and receive small goods in an instant. During the early 1880s, coin-operated vending machines began to appear in London, England. Commonly found at railway stations and post offices, these machines would offer items such as envelopes, notepaper, and stamps. In 1888, the Thomas Adams Gum Co. introduced the first vending machines in the United States. Installed on the subway platforms in New York City, the machines sold Tutti-Frutti gum to transit commuters. Beverage vending machines date back to 1890, and continue to be the most popular form of vending machines today.
